Question Answered

I need a lamp for my Mitsubishi VLT-HC7000LP projector. Can you confirm what brand it is? Another company in Australia is selling the same lamp for $220. Asked by Michael M. On Mar 24, 2024

The lamp manufacturer or brand of lamp will either be OSRAM, PHILIPS, USHIO, or PHONIEX. We beat or match the price of our competitors' lamps. Please contact our Australian sales team: sales@myprojectorlamps.com.au for more information about price matching.

Question Answered

What's the difference between the Mitsubishi VTL-HC5000LP and Mitsubishi VTL-HC7000LP lamps? Asked by Rrginald B. On Nov 20, 2021

If you mean the Lamp IDs, the Mitsubishi VLT-HC5000LP and Mitsubishi VTL-HC7000LP lamps are for different projectors. The first lamp is for the Mitsubishi HC5000 projector and the second lamp is for the Mitsubishi HC7000 projector. While they are the same bulbs with the same watts, 160W and 2000 lamp hours, the bulbs go into different projectors with different Internal SKUs. The VTL-HC5000LP has the Internal SKU#: MPLL09489 and the VLT-HC7000LP has the Internal SKU#: MPLL09491.

Question Answered

My existing lamp looks brand new no sign of damage but will not light up. Is there anything I can do to confirm the lamp is faulty before buying a new lamp from you? It can't be the projector itself. Asked by David A. On Aug 30, 2024

If your lamp is old or you have been using it, then there are a few ways to check if the lamp has reached or went over its lamp life of 2000 hours. Your projector has indicator lights that determine the problem with your lamp. If the indicator is blinking green, then the protection circuit is working or the lamp is in abnormal condition. Wait until the STATUS indicator turns off, then press the POWER button. If this solution doesn’t work, then you must replace the lamp. Blinking green or red means it's another lamp operation time warning. The total lamp operation reached 3750 hours while the power was on. A steady red light means another lamp operation time warning. The total lamp operation time reached 3750 hours while the power was off. Then lastly, a steady red light means another lamp operation time warning. The total lamp operation time reached 5000 hours while the power was off. Each of these warnings mean you need to replace your lamp. You can set your projector to eco mode for more lamp hours, 5000 hours, instead of 2000 hours. Your lamp doesn't need to be damaged for it not to light up. It might have died or burned out or used all of its lamp life or maximum lamp hours. You can tell if your lamp is faulty if the projected image quality has gotten darker or is deteriorating or if the image has white or light blue dots, colored lines, colors that are off, blobs of color, or no color, or if the image is flickering. If all else fails, then it may be your projector. Try cleaning the inside of your projector and the projector's fans with an air compressor or cloth.

Question Answered

How do I know if I need a module as well as a lamp or are they only sold together? Asked by Louise M. On Mar 17, 2020

The lamp and module are sold together, so if you want to buy a lamp, you get the module as well or if you need the module, you get the bulb.
