Question Answered
Hi, I have an hp vp6120 projector and the picture has got very dark. I'm assuming it's the lamp needing to be replaced. Is this easy to do myself or do I need to take it to a technician? Asked by Gina B. On Feb 25, 2019
When the lamp needs to be replaced the red indicator light turns on or a display message appears on the screen suggesting a lamp replacement. It's very simple to change the projector lamp. The manufacturers designed the process to be 'plug-n-play', similar to an ink cartridge with your printer. Just remove the old lamp, and slide the new one into place. We also have a very helpful video that can help walk you through the installation process. Again, it's not for your exact projector but it will give you a very good idea. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_QKsCLLhHI&list=PLSuAUhPqAhrbEIfDSUULyNsvJNSI7CmPe
